Welcome to Avening Primary School
Avening School is at the heart of the village community.
The school has expanded so there are now four classes accommodating pupils from 4-11 years old.
We have two playgrounds and the use of a field a short distance from the school, as well as our large school garden and wildlife area. Our village hall next door is used for lunch - cooked or sandwiches - and activities needing more space.
We provide a broad and rich curriculum that engages the children and motivates them to learn. The staff also help children develop a wide range of skills such as self-confidence, self-esteem, adaptability and an awareness of the needs of others.
At Avening School every child is appreciated as an individual with a vital contribution to make to the life of the school. We feel that by working together parents and staff get the best from our children.
If you would like to visit the school please telephone and make an appointment to come and look around. Only that way can you meet the children and the teachers and find out for yourself the friendly, purposeful atmosphere in which we work.
