Mrs Rushton is our amazing Head Teacher. She came highly recommended and has dazzled us with her enthusiasm, exciting ideas, boundless energy and a rather impressive collection of shoes.

   Describe yourself in five words: Happy, optimistic, calm, creative,       compassionate.Favourite book? Children’s book – The Northern Lights trilogy by Philip Pullman. Adult’s book – A Star called Henry by Roddy Doyle. It made me smile, laugh and cry: an incredible story.

If you had to be trapped on a tv show for a month, what would it be? It definitely has to be Question Time. I love the high drama and emotion of political debate and seeing how people feel so passionately about making a difference to our world. I have been known to tune into the BBC Parliament Channel on occasions … and when election time comes I am in my element!

Mrs Rushton is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), Designated Safeguarding Lead, Curriculum leader and leads developments in teaching and learning across the school.

                                                                                                

Miss Smith joined our school in September 2015 and works on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in both Key Stages.

Mr Wilkinson is the full-time teacher of the Kestrels class. He is our very own Gareth Southgate – inspiring our teams of children playing football, rugby and cricket with good tactics, good team-talks and good humour.

Describe yourself in five words: Bradford City fan for life.

Favourite book? Getting Rich with Jeremy James by David Henry Wilson – a humorous look at how a young boy views the world.

If you had to be trapped in a tv show for a month, what would it be? Top Gear – all those cars to drive and an empty airfield - heaven!!

Mr Wilkinson is our Senior Teacher and Maths Subject Leader. He also leads PE, DT and computing and oversees online safety.  

Mr Hall is our Hawks class teacher.

What makes you happy:  A nice cup of tea.

Mrs Sollis is the school business manager. She works Monday-Wednesday and can be found in the school office ordering pencils, organising exciting trips, counting money, talking on the phone and – most importantly – giving out stickers.

Describe yourself in five words: Optimistic, sociable, cheerful, friendly, adaptable.

Favourite book: Turning Point by Freya North – brilliant!

What makes you happy? Sunshine, bluebells, cappuccinos and cruffins, live music, days out with friends, boat trips, Tottenham winning and all things Cornish.

Mrs Wilkinson is another staff member with a variety of roles. She is a Teaching Assistant/Assistant SENCo on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, administrator in the office on Thursdays and Fridays and is Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. A very organised individual!

Favourite book? I have always got a book on the go but if there is nothing about I will return to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice – I probably read it every year!

Mrs Carter is our Forest School Lead and our ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support) - a specialist role.  She is a lovely, understanding lady who is always willing to give second chances.

Favourite song from the soundtrack of your life? Up, Up and Away in my Beautiful Balloon by The Fifth Dimension reminds me of when I was a little girl.

Mrs Boulton is the Teaching Assistant mainly in the Owls class, but can be found in other places too! Mrs Boulton supervises the Playground Patrollers and Reading Buddies.

Favourite book: I loved reading all the Harry Potter books to my girls.

Mrs Harris is a Teaching Assistant in the Eagles class and she leads 'Wake Up Wednesday' on the school playground every Wednesday morning.

Favourite book: My favourite children's book is 'The Jolly Postman and Other People's Letters'. As a grown up I love books written by Jojo Moyes.

What is your favourite song from the soundtrack of your life?  'You are my sunshine' - my husband sings it to me when I am sad and we sing it to our children.

What makes you happy? Swimming, cycling, catching up with friends and dancing - I'm always bouncing around.
